Months since being a victim of check washing and still waiting for my money that they gave away.

I have been a customer for 10 yrs. Your bank is so understaffed and impersonal that i will be dealing with smaller banks. Went to branch for help and was sent home with a customer service phone number. On line bill pay made my bills late after opening new account. Last 3 times at my branch in rossford ohio i walked out unsatisfied.
This Brookville branch never answers the phone. The last girl that was the branch manager was the rudest individual I have ever dealt with. I don't ever complain about anything either. They don't tell you there's anything wrong or that they are putting a hold on anything until you go to get your money. Then you find out that there's an issue. That is so wrong to do. They also won't cash a check even if it is drawn off of their bank. The check is written off of a business account and the money is there. I wish I never opened an account with them. My house burned down and I have over $600,00.00 to deposit. Rest assured it will NOT be with this bank. I should have read the reviews first!
Poor banking institutions
I have requesed why an issue my branch why money has been taken out of my account with no whre or what for. 1500. $ has been gone in two daysnwhen I am only take out 300. in a day. I have a document by Huntington thru a gteivence thru on the phone. Months ago I asked face to face and they have n idea what the document means. There is always 2 or 3 people asking me and no manager never answered me even at the bank with me. I wrote a Office manager on line and no answer over months even when I asked to ask HQ and mank manager to reply. I have no idea what this branch or any Huntington Bank will not resolve.
I cannot get into my account using the mobile app, or my pc, or the automated 24 hour help line. No explanations given from any source, poor business practice!

This bank is absolutely the worst. I have been a Huntington customer for many years but will be moving my money. I asked them to do a wire transfer because I was purchasing a boat out of state. The banker refused to do it because he said it was a scam. This has proven not to be a scam but at any rate I am a grown ass man. If I wanted to take my money and flush it down the toilet it is no business of theirs as long as I pay the fee for the transfer. I needed them to come through for me and they did not. And this is after I waited an hour to even see the banker. On another occasion I called them about a boat loan and they called me back and said they were too busy to work on it. Could I call back the next day. I called back the next day and still too busy but they would call me back. They never called. So not only do I practically have to beg them to transfer my own money (which they refused to do) but also beg them to even loan money. I thought those to things were what I had a bank for. This is on the Parkersburg branch and April is the person who never called me back and Grant is the person who felt the need to protect me from myself rather than transfer the money. A totally understaffed worthless excuse for a bank. Do not bank here. Loyalty means nothing.

My wife and I paid off a car loan with Huntington a few years ago. We unfortunately lost the title, and we called Huntington to get a lien release letter so we could get a duplicate title. We called them on 9/16/21 and they set up a case number. Today is 11/5/21 and we still haven't received the lien release letter. They said it takes 45 business days? This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!!!!
I was a customer of TCF Bank for over a decade. Since the merger with Huntington, I have had nothing but problems. But this issue is beyond just a simple problem.
In the middle of October I almost got scammed. I deposited checks for services rendered and money to pay venders. 4 checks on October 18th. When the person I did work for kept messaging me to send money to venders before the checks cleared, I knew something was up. So I immediately called customer service, who told me to go straight to a personal banker. The personal banker will tell me what I need to do. When I spoke with the banker, they told me it’s good that I didn’t send anyone money, and that the bad checks would just fall off my account. The only option I had was to make a police report.
He was right the checks did fall off my account. But then they kept coming back trying to deposit.
Next, thing I know my account is completely frozen. So I called customer service and was on hold for an hour and a half. They told me my account is frozen from receiving or taking out any money and that the bank will no longer do business with me. I’m supposed to receive a cashiers check in the mail. It is extremely unfair that my account is even frozen to begin with. I did what I was supposed to do when I noticed I was about to be scammed! Don’t the bank representatives put notes in my account saying I was trying to resolve the problem?!
I have no idea when I’m going to get my money in the mail.
I don’t understand why this is happening when I specifically reported the problem to customer service and a personal banker. I did what I was supposed to do, and I’m being punished for it. I have zero dollars because all my money is in the bank. I have 2 kids! I don’t even have money for gas! This is insane! How could you do this to someone?!
I’m going to tell my story to every social media outlet. Leaving a family stranded like this is so unethical. I did what I was supposed to do. I reported those bad checks twice!
Something needs to happen, or this is going to get way bigger than it needs to be.

Our TCF bank just changed over to Huntington in Ludington, MI. We had 2 TCF locations and 1 Huntington location. They closed 1 of the TCF locations making it 1. I was told they were closing the 1 Huntington branch now too. So we have all these people going to one office. A small office at that. Maybe 1200 sq ft total. Parking sucks. I tried to go in and 50 people in line. The drive thru packed, the parking lot full. I will see how this goes but probably going to move my business somewhere else. I have been thru 4 bank changes with this bank location and none of them have been like this
Poor service
Deposited 120.00 in atm, giant eagle branch, lincoln village, columbus,ohio . It said could take bills gave me 80 dollars back, kept 40.00. I need my 40 dollars returned please. If not I will go to another bank.
Bad experience with the local Boyne City, MI branch and Huntington has purposely seemed to make sure you can't find a number at headquarters to report it. Guess my next call is to the Michigan Attorney General. Moved all my accounts to another bank after doing business with Huntington for 10 years. Great job Huntington....

I just sat on hold for 55 minutes only to be hung up on. Huntington used to be top notch but now it is impossible to get through to customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK
GOD AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE We refinanced our home with Huntington. We have our business accounts with Huntington. We have made two payments ahead of schedule on our new mortgage only to be threatened with forced insurance coverage after our insurance company has sent the declaration page 4 TIMES!!!!!! I have been pushed off on 4 different people at Huntington who have pretty much said this is my problem. I had to show proof of hazard insurance to refinance they assured me at that time that they had all the paperwork in order in fact I have several copies of the Dec page from when we signed final papers. The branch says call corporate you can literally die waiting for corporate to answer and then you are transferred repeatedly and again put on hold each time. Every few years we get a new business card we are supposed to get 2. They "NOTE" the account. It NEVER happens. I have an entire string of snarky emails from one supervisor telling me to take my business elsewhere. Someone really should talk to her about customer service and how banks work. PLEASE do your banking elsewhere. I wish I had.

I have both personal and business accounts with Huntington. I love the website and mobile banking platform, but when forced to go into the local branch, it all falls apart. My branch located in Redford, Michigan is always understaffed with a average wait time of 10 to15 minutes. The Branch Service Manage is alway barking at customers and she barked at me today, which is the final straw, so I am moving my assets of approximately $60, 000 to PNC Bank tomorrow morning.

I have been a loyal Huntington Bank customer since it was Mid Am Bank and then Sky Bank. I have my personal mortgage through Huntington and they have likely made about $200,000.00 in interest off that loan. I also had 4 mortgages for rental properties and never missed a payment. On December 26th, 2015 my wife of 23 years told me she wanted a divorce. I was forced to try and refinance the rental properties but Huntington Bank would not do it. That led to the meeting I had with my lawyer where he told me I was going to have to file bankruptcy. I had no choice since no bank would refinance. Here were are years later and Huntington Bank will not allow me to deed the property to them and will not work with me to get rid of the house. The house has been completely destroyed and I am being killed with fines from Toledo for zoning violations. I have attempted to work with Huntington Bank but they refuse, telling me to go through my lawyer (costing me thousands of dollars I do not have). Recently I have found out I had warrants for my arrest. I am a law enforcement officer and this could kill my career. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but the lady who called, Brooke something, again would not or could not help. She did tell me that my account has a person assigned to it but would not give me a name. The only reason they can have for not working with me to get rid of the property is in spite. Every other bank has foreclosed or allowed me to do a deed in lieu. So much for caring about loyal customers. I cannot recover from my wife leaving me or my bankruptcy until I get rid of my last properties, but thanks to Huntington I have had to hire another lawyer and am looking at thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees. I guess they only liked me because I was making them money.

Chioma Murray at the White Lake, Mi Meijer branch was extremely polite and knowledgeable helping me get account info from the fraudulent CC in my name. After many call transfers which Chioma made seem quicker with her attentiveness. She followed through today by emailing my fraud packet. You are extremely lucky to have an associate like Chioma Murray! I suggest you clone her at your nearest chance.
Terrible customer service. Deplorable may be a better description.My vehicle was totalled out that was financed by Huntington. USAA paid them off and proved the check was cashed by Huntington over 2 months ago. I still continue to receive past due notices from their Customer Service team. USAA has verified numerous times it was paid off as did customer service when I inquired. I told them I continue to get past due notices and their only reply was I shouldn't be receiving those. I asked if this was reported to the credit bureau since it was not my fault. The answer was, "maybe". I asked how do I correct this, this is a bank error. She said I would need to contact the credit bureau myself. I asked to be transferred to someone that can help in the matter and again said I did everything correct, this is a bank internal issue that possibly affects me and my credit. This bank has forced escrow on my mortgage loan for false reasons, refused to provide me with the ability to file an insurance claim and threatened foreclosure on a loan that I owe less than $200.00 on, please be very careful before you do a mortgage with them.

Huntington Bank is the worst bank in terms of customer service. You keep getting told different things from different people and no one can explain their practices except to say "That's our policy". Rude supervisors and long hold times and I've even been hung up on. If I didn't have to jump through so many hoops to open a new account elsewhere, I'd dump Huntington in a minute.

I came to Michigan prior to selling my beautiful home in Arizona and Donna Barnaby one of your loan officers stated I could get a per approval. I informed her that I had a short sale in April 2016 and asked if this was going to be a problem. Donna initiated me no and that is why I sold my home in Arizona because I waited for her to let me know prior to selling and accepting the offer to the home. Many times during the initial information once I found a home it seemed as though she didn't know her duties. Donna added an appraisal on the loan after she told me there would be no fees for an appraisal because the home was brand new. Then there were several names that was not me on papers that showed my alias names and I notified her that was not me and the addresses were not mine. Donna told me that the underwriter wouldn't give me the loan because she made a mistake on the information that she informed me and that her information was not updated. I already sold my home and she left my family without a home for a short sale that happened 3 years and some months ago. The Fannie Mae law is 4 years but if she would've notified me of this information I wouldn't have ever sold my home in Arizona. What is the difference between now and five months for this loan? I have never not paid my bills and I have always done the right thing. That is why I tried to hold onto the property in Michigan when I left during the housing crisis. I have no other negative inquiries on our credit and we don't have any bills either and we have good credit. This makes no sense that your employee lied to me initially and I wouldn't have come here if I knew there was a hold on the amount of years on a short sale. I be in this mess if I wanted a loan and all of a sudden didn't want to sign the papers. Your loan officer lied and falsified documents to cover her job. I have emails that I sent her when I first reached out to her to ask about the short sale and about her telling me they wouldn't give me a loan. I have a perfect credit score and the only thing I ever had was that home short sale that was sold for the amount that was owed, even though it says they took less than what was owed. I have approximately $160,000 in your accounts and when I try to pay my bills online I can't. Every so often it states I'm on a different browser. I recently got rid of my landline and also have a new email address. When yet again I couldn't get in, I had to call the 800 number. The person tells me they can't help me and I have to go into a branch. I work 6 days a week and the only day I have off is Sunday. Because nobody can help me over the phone. I will be taking all of my money out of your bank. I have banked with you for 14 years. I've been inconvenienced multiple times with this message stating I'm on a different browser. I'm also inconvenienced by being asked to stop work and leave to come in and fix the glitch you have in your system. We are Huntington customers. Our branch was Manton Mi. That said, we were running late for a house closing and stopped at our branch office only to find out it had closed and moved elsewhere. Consequently we needed to redirect to another branch for the money we needed for the closing. Unfortunately this detour was going to cause us to be late. We called the Kalkaska Mi branch and told them our situation and asked if they could have everything ready when we arrived. They enthusiastically went to work and had the check ready when we arrived. Not only did they have the check ready they offered to call the closing company to inform them we would be a little late. I haven’t had customer service like this in quite sometime. Hats off to Kalkaska Michigan branch office for going above and beyond. We are grateful!

Suddenly, an amount for 150.00 dollars was taken out of my account without my knowledge and I was never notified to me of owing such amount. The customer service representative could not be specific at first when I ask what was the miscellaneous transaction about. Then, after 10 min. of our conversation I was told the Agency Management Team put an overdraft recovery on my account. Which makes no absolute sense whatsoever, due to the fact when you owe 150.00 dollars to a bank they will send you a letter letting you know. That was not the case. In two years they have plenty of time to know if I owe them such amount. That is no way of doing business or treating a Customer. Due to the fact, is the customer the one who is bringing them business and choose to put their trust on them by handling their money properly. I am still waiting to see why 150.00 dollars has been taken out of my account without my knowledge after being a customer for two years, That is my question! Calling the bank will not change anything they will give you another department to talk to. Looked through the website, no other number to reach the top management. No good!

My Simple Debit card was again broken close to the chip. They decided to no simply replace the card but close the account and issue a new card without saying a word about NOT having access to the current account (knowing this only after my card was declined). Now stuck in the 30 miles from home with no gas as the customer service supervisor Clair explains there is nothing she can do. Great job Wondeful Service. Switching Banks ASAP
We have liked Huntington bank BUT when they closed the Village of Maybee MI branch it really effected how we do our banking. The Village of Maybee has had a bank here since 1901. The closest bank to the 560 people living in the Village of Maybe plus the 3,000 people just outside the Village is 20 minutes away. I don't think Huntington took our local businesses and resident's of Maybee in to consideration before they closed. In my opinion that goes against what Huntington is supposed to stand for!
2nd worst bank I've had to deal with I went to a branch ATM to withdraw money and in the middle of the trans action the ATM gives me back my card and say temporarily out of service but still took the money from my account and now im.being told there is nothing they can do help me now they will file a claim and I should SHOULD get my money back

Cleveland branch, 2018 they put $300 cash in the wrong account and I was standing there with teller!!! Feb 2019 Columbus branch, they deposited a paper check in the wrong account in the drive through while i was out of town!!! caused me great inconvenience!!! now the over draft protection I had in placed was removed and they want to charge me an over draft fee for money they are not paying!!! if they paid it charge me if you're not paying the draft, remove the fee!!!

My husband had lost his father a couple years ago and today he went to deposit his inheritance check from his dad that he had just received. This is never a easy situation to deal with in the first place and then for your bankers to Deny my husband to deposit his deceased fathers check and tell him he needs his fathers signature on it or go tell the state to reissue a check without his fathers name on it is absurd. He was so upset after he left your bank and call his other syblings that had the same exact check as my husband and had no issues depositing it . My husband will now be moving our account to a different bank. We have been a customer of yours for 10 years and this was just uncalled for.
On January 10 I deposited a check in my account that was wrote to a friend, he signed it over to me. The mext day I tried to sign into my online account and it was locked. I called the branch amd they told me they put a hold on the account untill January 17. I called out the bank every day to make sure my account was not overdrawn because i only keep the money for bills in it. Also, i received a letter saying the money from the checl would be available January17. January17 I tried to sign into my account online amd it was still locked. I went to the bank amd they told me, for the first time, the check was fraudulent. That i had to close the account and reopen one. I wejt to the car got my id and wjen i came back into the bank i was informed I can not reopen at huntington. I was told because the check I have to wait until the investigation was over. I asked if they wanted the persons name
The customer service representatives are beyond rude. I have been lied too and disrespected on more then one occasion. I have spoke with supervisors who assured me the matter would be taken care of. It has not been. I am ready to take legal action at this point. My family have been customers for many year's, but it's time we change Banks. I would highly recommend you do not bank with Huntington. I would not give them one star but there is no way around it.

Bank is horrendous! Run and hide!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. 10 years after my car was paid off they still haven’t sent the lien release. The loan department just says “it’s in the mail”!
Huntington is greedy and has overdraft protection which is phony because you still get charged. Thanks for stealing money from people because it's so nice of you people.
