In the last few years the corporate decisions has reduced the bank to a nightmare to deal with. The movement of the Home Equity to the mortgage division has reduced the level of customer service to almost ZERO. Maybe I was the only one that was NOT notified that the address for submission of Insurance information had changed. So, there was a series of rude correspondence about not having or submitting validation of homeowners and flood insurance. This episode ping pong back and forth for nearly a month. Some was the result of long wait times to reach a real person that could answer questions. As I recall this happened for two years with the address changes. And it is still ongoing with a name change. For me the overall appearance is that customers have the status of cattle to be just herded around. I will not recommend Regions Bank to anyone. And in all likelihood when my home equity loan is zero, I will no longer have an account at your institution.
Regions Bank is a criminal organization that has been fined $millions for illegal activities, but has not reformed in the least. If Wells Fargo is deserving of the $3.4 Billion that it has just settled for in its abuse case, then Regions Bank is deserving of many times that fine! If it wee possible to give them a negative rating as warning to the public, then Iwouldgive them a minus 10 stars, not plus one.
Over 20 years with them and looking to move, they have become unbearable. Local people at branch are great, Corp is the problem.
I have never had any problems with this bank until they got a new manager named Tray at the Brandon location on Spillway Road in Mississippi. He is extremely rude and screams at his customers. I will never ever do business with Regions.

I have been trying to get a check I received in 12/21 made out to my deceased husband reissued with my name on the check. This is from a Joint Account we used to have. I was advised by the Branch Manager in Chattanooga TN to return the check and a copy of my husbands death certificate to Corporate Headquarters to the attention of Denita Harris. I did this in 2/22 certified mail and have not received any response. I have called and left many voice mails for Ms. Harris with no help. On 5/31/22 I called and left another voice mail for her. On 6/4/22 I received a letter from Regions Bank with the same check I had originally sent to her. Same date and my husbands name on it. What do I have to do to get this resolved? I am at my wits end. I will not recommend Regions Bank to anyone.

Paid over $200000 in mortages off early and will never do business with this financial institution again. Requested payoff for HELOC, was sent a "paydown" letter instead and upon paying same day they charged an additional day of interest just because they could. This bank and mortgage lender is shady and is always looking for ways to cheat their customers out of extra money. My advice is to bank elsewhere. Go to a credit union where the people actually work with their members and treat them fairly. Regions loses on this former account holder. Their mortgages were paid on time every single month with extra to pay down principal.
There was fraud on my account back in 2019. they locked me out of my own account! I have not been able to monitor my account since. I need this fixed! I have tried MANY times and I am still locked out , I have called in and been on hold for several minutes only to be disconnected! Is this the best you can do!

Disgusted on how I am being treated as a customer of 3 years. You dummies locked my checking and savings for suspicious or assuming fraud. How dare you all!! Your bank sucks and I’m going to sue you all! I’m disappointed and disgusted of the way I have been treated. I can’t talk to anyone. This is my hard earned money and I will shit you down.
Regions Bank offered a special promotion of paying a $400 for opening an acct, doing 10 ATM transactions in the first month, and opening online statements. The bank has refused the $400 payment because I failed to open online statement. They offered no reminder to do so but charged me $4 for each of three months for not opening an online account. They can't have it both ways. The Executive Office stands by the letter of the promotion...not the substance. As far as I am concerned Regions Bank stole my money.

This is more a plea for help than a review. Having said that, it fall into the same category. My account has been locked out for weeks. The account goes back to the Sun Bank in Florida days. I am retired, live in Honduras. Have not been able to resolve this issue by phone or any other means. Would appreciate someone in authority calling me on my mobile phone 504 9746 4916. My number on record 941 799 7074 is a VOIP account and has not been working properly.

Friday my bank account was frozen because of a bad check my bank account is now on hold I was told the only way my bank account can be unfrozen is by going to my branch manager and having her unfreeze it well she's on vacation till next Wednesday next Wednesday is when my retirement check hits so the you know what is going to hit the fan next Wednesday
If anyone can offer me any kind of help I'd appreciate it

This bank is not a good bank I’m here today they locked my account and I still I’m not getting help at all I’m here 01/12/2021 and no one can tell me what’s going on no one not a branch are headquarters then they put me on hold 5 mins then hung up with no reply’s I’m so closing out this bank account this sucks ! My husband had. A SS check that was gonna be deposit in the account and the before his check direct. They closed his account i know they his check was pending too go in his account and that is wrong i am gonna make sure none of my family bank with your bank and im gonna ask a lot of my u s postal coworkers to not and stop banking with your bank
We moved from Panama City Florida, to Utah, and kept our account open at your branch in Panama City Florida. In Oct of 2020, your branch froze the account and closed it. It took until Dec. 3,2020 for this branch to mail out the check in the amount that was in our account. We asked if the money could be wire to our bank in Utah, they said no. Now we have a check sitting in our new bank on hold for 11 days just because it is an out of State check. We need to use that money now. We can not wait 11 days. I will never bank with you again, and I will tell everyone I know how we were treated at this branch.
1 star. Your bank has a bad reputation for terminating loans. That is, as I have learned in an attempt tp close my HELOC , I'm still waiting 5 weeks later and now this will cause issues with my purchase of another property. Real estate agents in my location say your bank has a bad reputation for the same. I understand your fractured databases do not communicate to make this efficient. That is ridiculous. Can't a customer and their paperwork be located simply with a SS number or an account number ? Don't your staff sign out what they do with a personal number or their initials . Seems to me this should be easy to remedy. Someone has to look into this , it's enough to make me relocate my account.

The people at the local level are fantastic. The corporate policy of holding checks for large sums is very outdated. With our means of communication that are in place it would expect verification within minutes not days! For this reason I will have to look at other banks.
Have been a Regions customer for about 20 years now and have been pleased up until a few days ago. Went to deposit some rolled coins at my branch located on Hack Cross Road, Memphis, TN. and you would have thought I was handing them a tissue that someone with COVID had just coughed on. After exchanging emails with the home office, I have finally learned that Regions will only take unrolled coins (will not accept rolled coins) and they don't care what your count is. They have to send the coins to a "third party" for counting and then charge you a "$5.00 coin deposit fee". What's next? Charging a fee for direct deposit? Charge a fee for withdrawing funds from your checking account? How about installing a toll booth in the drive thru? I will be looking for another bank that appreciates its customers. By the way, I only found out about the $5.00 coin deposit fee after exchanging multiple emails with the home office and numerous questions. The home office employees apparently don't know their own policies and they have stated in their emails that they contacted the branch location to learn what the deposit is for depositing coins. Pitiful!

Bank in Southhaven, MS leads you on to give you a loan, pay the appraisal fee, send a bad appraiser and turn down your loan, but offers a higher rate. Seems like a set uip between the bank and appraiser since they picked them. Don't use and save your appraisal fee.
I stopped at a branch today to make a cash deposit. It was a small branch without drive through capabilities. The note on the door said the branch was by appointment only> There was no one in the branch so I called the number. The girl inside the branch was no more than 30 feet away from me. I could plainly see that no one was in the bank. She said she could not let me in without an appointment. I told her to make me one so I could get in and make my deposit. She replied there were no open appointments. THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE BANK WHEN SHE SAID THAT TO ME. I have been a customer of Regions Bank since 2008, and this is the rudest i have ever been treated in my life.

Regions is the worst bank ever!! and the assistant manager at location 120 keys ferry street McDonough Ga 30253 is very unprofessional she is the lady who where glasses she discussed an issue that I was having with everyone in the bank including customers my issue should have been private however my main concern is that I used the ATM to make a deposit the ATM took everything I deposit and not one dollar posted to my account I’ve been told that there‘s no trace!!

I've had a few not so pleasurable events with Regions. The delivery of this bank is horrible. The only thing I would give them a higher rating on is how they answer the phones. I recently tried to refinance my auto loan, which ending up in a total nightmare. Basically I was left a VM that sounded as if I had been approved for the refinancing with Regions only to find out it was approved but denied for mistyping the auto loan amount. This is highly frustrating because the loan is with Regions. Regions knows the amount of the loan left on vehicle. You are unable to speak to a manager/underwriting dept. So they pretty much don't care. I am going to see about consolidating all of my debt. Removing both my major credit card and auto loan from Regions.
The worst bank as far as customer relations and being trustworthy ever. I deposited a check and it cleared the person who gave it to me account the same day. 9 days later Regions is refusing to release my funds. They are telling me that they can hold until midnight tonight. In this day of electronic transfer and technology, it seems unheard of to hold funds more than the 3 days maximum specified Check Clearing Act for the 21st Century passed by Congress in 2003.
I had a completely paid off line of credit with this bank, that I asked be closed at the Stoneybrook Parkway West branch. They failed to close the account and placed a $50 annual fee on the account without ever notifying me that they had done so. This annual fee ended up being posting 30 days past due on my credit report. As of my 46th birthday, still the only negative mark to appear on my credit report. Although I have made numerous attempts to resolve this with the bank and even had a letter written on my behalf from the branch manager, their corporate credit reporting department refuses to remove the mark from my report. This is clearly not the bank for you, unless you want to be treated like a statistic rather than a 25 year customer.
I am very disappointed with the service I have received of late with Regions Bank. I have been a customer since 1989 and the service has continually deteriorated. My son works or goes to college 7 days a week and I have his permission to deposit his pay checks into my checking account in order to pay his bills for him and buy his groceries. He went into the bank in Gardendale and the manager at the time told him to write pay to the order of on the check so I could deposit it. I have been doing this for him for 4 months or more. Now, Regions has a new manager at the Gardendale branch and she would not allow me to deposit the checks. I have to drive 25 minutes to get to the closest bank and I have now spent over an hour with this situation. I even got my son on the phone to verify and the new manager did not care and brushed me off. I have had loans, mortgages, savings, checking accounts with Regions... we have done exactly what the bank managers instructed and now months later, it’s not good enough!!! I had to drive to his college, get him out of class, drive to Region in Centerpoint and go inside, where luckily the office worker who had originally instructed my son on the deposit procedures was working. He help me, but I left home at 8:30 with my elderly parent who had to endure all this running around!!! We got home 3 hours later without accomplishing our list of errands... My friends and parents, among others, have found other banks and now I see why... !!! Not happy😡😡😡😡

Visiting your north Fort Myers branch on 7/31/19 we waited over 1 1/2 hours for a customer service representative for assistance. After an hour someone finally came over and suggested that we either make an appointment another day, which was not convenient, or visit another branch. I feel they should have told us about the wait time when we arrived. Very poor service
As a realtor watching what the loan dept in Franklin TN did to my client and the title company I would NEVER recommend Regions!!!! Tried to take $5000 of his money and state the the home is his second home and now he is homeless until they fix it and today is Friday. No one at that location in the loan department is professional or educated.

With regions the bank cashed the checks. My son did not have enough money to cover the first check but region cached the first and second checked knowing their was any money in the account. And now they want use to pay money back that we did not received. They did not reach out to us but I now receiving calls about monies. That is owed to them. Please explain regions on your bank practices. I Don"t think people understand banks want refund your money if someone steal your information.

Regions Bank only will give you the run a round about a issue you have. The assistant manager at the downtown location will lie ans say Ill call you back with info ans never does. He gives you his card but never comes to the phone when you call ans have the person answering take your number again just to never recieve a phone call. My account was compromised and nobody anywhere has been able to help. I will be using a different bank in the neat future.
Regions sent me a letter stating that they canceled my checking account and all ties with them. I just got approved for a HELOC. They ran my credit. I was approved and they were to do the appraisal on my home this week. Now they cancel all ties with me. I take a hit on my credit and after I do all the work to get the loan they do this and give no reason. I have contacted my loan officer and no one can tell me why. They are treating me like a criminal and I have done nothing to make them think this. The only thing I can think of is my purchasing of Crypto currencies. I am very disappointed in Regions bank. Online banking sucks. Takes to long for checks to clear. And they don't care if you get late charges but their quick draw to get there money. 3 days on a moblie deposit is absurd. This is a bank that truly don't care about good customers. When I lost my twin brother I made my payment s even though a little late sometimes they cancelled all my credit options. Now I payed off several large loans over $60,000 in less than ten years. Truly bad relations.4
