I traded my truck into the dealers and they sent off the payment back on June 14th. the check made it to suntrust as it was signed for. they lost the payment and failed to own the fact they fucked up. so i called and got it "delt" with. here it is a week later after working with the dealership which sent another check over night to them last week.. so either they are trying to milk us for money or they have careless people in the loan payoff department, who take a very slow and lazy work ethic. either way i still owe them money and they have gotten two checks and are trying to get more money in the end.

I returned to work after 7 months on furlough. Have been trying to get back on track with my mortgage payments and was told I could only apply for a modification which I did. I followed up a few weeks after and was told my forms had expired and had to resubmit. Did this again and called back and was told I was missing a N/A on a document so had to resubmit again. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold and then told to sign the paper and resend. A frees after I checked back and the person said I didn’t have to do anything else since the new covid procedures would automatically move the 6 months I owed to the end of the loan. Since than I have called back over 20x and still waiting to hear back from them. I ask to speak to a supervisor and move to escalation each time and I am told someone will contact me in 48 to 72 hours. In April I spoke to an agent and told someone stopped processing my modification application and I would have to start all over again. Sharon Guage is supposed to be the person assisting my case and I haven’t heard from her since December. I’ve sent her emails and her response is she can’t answer emails. But she could call me to discuss and never has. I haven’t received a call from a supervisor or the escalation department. I’m still in limbo. Last person I spoke to said there will be a second loan placed at the end of my current loan and my mortgage would go up a few hundred dollars to catch up on escrow. I’m so upset I might just give up the house all together. I’ma single mom and trying to stay afloat so I can’t afford an extra few hundred dollars to pay the extra mortgage amount. This could have been resolved months ago if SunTrust would have completed my modification application.

I have no respect for this Bank any longer. I tried to refinance my house through them, and the process went on for over a year. People dropped the ball and then i was told that it had to be started over again. I cannot believe a simple refinance would take this long and have to go through so many hoops for it. My house was appraised way over what is owed on it. I have never been so upset about a business situation in my life. To have had to go through all what i went through, first saying that you loan has been approved to we need to start over again, is just poor business. You would have thought I was trying to get a million dollars. This will never happen again, and I will never recommend this bank to anyone I know. I have been banking with this bank for over 16 years and to be slapped in the face like this is just unacceptable. I am a businessman myself and I do not like to put other businesses down, but this was horrible. I know that everyone at this bank is not at fault but the way I was treated was awful.
It has taken Suntrust Mastercard over 8 months to issue a refund check to my deceased mothers' estate. Now, that all the accounts have been closed, Suntrust refuses to cash the check because the wording, it's made out to..... "the estate of mothers name", even though I'm the executor of my mothers' estate, a new account must be opened, which involves additional lawyer fees and court cost, more money than the amount of the check $38.89. As the executor, I paid off all my mother's debts in good faith and now Suntrust wants to play symantics. The bank has copies of the death certificate and power of attorney on file. I've been banking there for over 3 years, the managers know the family situation. So...now what? Just forfeit $38.89? THAT'S BS!

Suntrust governed by FED, gave my unemployment up to a garnishment when they were not suppose to accept it. No customer service people knew this so they say, but they work at a bank! They need retraining. They gave away my rent money and the garnishment was for something 7 years old!

I would never ever recommend anyone not even my worst enemy somebody that I love to go to SunTrust Bank you guys are con artists and you're terrible customer service there are only three people in these organizations I've talked to Adam about 16 people that were actually caring about the actual kind of service that they gave to their customer open an account put my $5,600 stimulus check into it the next day you guys close my account and denied me access to my funds I have now been waiting for a week and still not received my money back nor reason why my bank account was closed I have spent numerous hours on the phone every single day trying to escalate this situation up somebody that can handle it for me because I really need my money and it's unfair that you guys have been keeping it I just spoke with a young lady today and she tells me now that I have to wait a few more days and call back and then we'll see how far they are with it absolutely unacceptable absolutely deplorable you got to be ashamed of yourselves he said they are in put on your for its truest cares do you do you really because I'm not feeling very cared about that's all the money that I have you guys won't even give me answers or even $20 to feed my kids for the night of my own money I'm going to call back again tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and I'm going to put you guys out on Front Street and review you everywhere so that nobody wants to come visit your institution anymore see how you like it when you can't touch your money

I opened an account online and for whatever reason a month later SunTrust decided to close it out, But in the process of closing it out they still continued to accept money into the account so i was finally told that they was rejecting all funds and what did they did the exact opposite not once but three time so here i am still waiting 2 months later for a check to be mailed to me with my own money

I have a checking account over 25 years at Suntrust. Ever since Truist came into things it has gone downhill. If you have trouble with online banking after hours, you will have to wait and go to a local branch to resolve. Truly Pathetic
SunTrust Bank located in pine Hill Orlando is where I actually went to open up account the following day was closed I deposited over $10,000 it has been over 5 weeks now I have not received any of my funds back I have did every verification they have asked they also is collecting interest I've advised anybody not to go to them I'm currently going to be in contact with corporate I have to get a lawyer that's the worst bank I've ever seen in my life it's not even have an account to operate I've never seen a bank where I can come sit in the lobby and you got more angry customer walking out the door

I'm struggling during this pandemic and has been charged over 100 in excessive withdrawal fees and I was told I couldnt get a courtesy credit on those fees when I called into customer care they were very unprofessional and refused to help me after I advised them I needed to transfer the money to take care of bills
Opened a new account for investment purposes. Deposited $1000 then later transferred $1000.
Suntrust charged a $36 fee and has the deposit on hold for 12 days despite even though the money was taken from my primary checking account/separate bank. This has caused credit issues with a business for me. I called and talked to 3 different people. In 30 years of banking, I have never had such poor quality/customer service. I wish to close this account as soon as the funds are released.

Opened a MMA in Sept 2020 as a Promotion at the West Memphis AR branch, now 3 months later I call about the account, #1 cannot get to talk with anyone in the US they are based in the Phillipines and do not know anything about this promotion. #2 Call the West Memphis office in AR and no one answers the phone lo and Behold Covid has taken them out. too bad no one has the courtesy to put on an answer that they are closed and to call another branch. No it is the rigamorole of on hold then put thru to a branch manager that will not answer for 2 weeks. POOR customer service.

Absolutely horrific, I opened a bank account with you 2 weeks ago. Received my bank card and check's yesterday ans can't use ANY of the $3,000.00 I opened the account with!! I have called my local branch AND customer service. NOONE can tell me anything except it is under review and is being closed!! AND I have to wait 10 day's before I receive my $3,000.00 back!! Suntrust is taking new clients and keeping there money as hostage for over 30 days.When you open a new account and deposit cash into the account as soon as you get your debit card and use it the first time then suntrust/truist freezes your account and tells you that there has been fraudulent charges on your account and then they tell you after our investigation we will then send you your money after 30 days. This bank is floating every ones money for 30 days and you can not touch your own money that cash was deposited in to. EVERY ONE READ THE CONSUMER REPORTS AND LOOK UP TRUIST BANK ON THE BBB WEBSITE AND SEE HOW MANY CLIENTS THEY DID THIS TOO.

Now im am literally broke with no food or money.. if you shut me down bcz i was trying to get money out this weekend through cash app and money gram I apologise... I dont know what I did wrong..... I even got my bank card today.... There's no way i can cash a suntrust check in Minnesota...
Depositing Cash into checking account
I submitted a PPP loan application two weeks ago. I can find out nothing from my local branch, which seems strange to me that at the local level they aren't able to find out the status. So, if the local branch can't find out, who can I contact to find out an update?
Suntrust is one of the worst banks I have ever dealt with in my life. I was set up with an auto loan through a dealership and from the first payment there service was garbage. Most businesses work on things like that, but not suntrust... Here we are 20 years later and a dealership set us up with suntrust and the same garbage service is in place. Combative "customer service" personnel. ZERO attention to detail. Suntrust screwed up the address and we never recieved notice of the first payment. After about 20 days I went into a local branch and the teller was not capable of helping, so finally a "manager" comes over discovers SUNTRUST's mistake and they charged us the late fee. Fast forward a few months later their call center rep screwed up our account and then gave us bad advice on how to fix it and then that got messed up... Another suntrust rep calls me and asks me to make the payment AGAIN stated that he would remove the late fee this time... Well guess what, he screwed that up as well and refunded the entire amount. I called back in and they had sent us to collections... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I make 4 attempts on one payment that they screwed up from the beginning and then they send me to collections???... Well their normal "Customer Service" people are terrible jerks so you can only imagine the top rated talent that I'm dealing with now. These guys cannot see past their own nose and it has been a mess ever since. All they care about is finding ways to fine or fee you to death, zero care for their customers. I am going to be refinancing this loan to anyone else with a pulse and suntrust or what ever you all are calling yourself these days missed out on 20 years of business over an auto loan and now they will miss out on any business from me, or my family for as long as I live. This is the worst financial institution on the planet. Even a drug bank in mexico would be better then dealing with this place.

I've looked for a review section online for my SunTrust Branch without luck😞 Although, I'm unable to find it, I would still like to post a review for my branch, which is in Berea in Greenville SC. There are 2 people in this branch that deserves special recognition...Pam and Tim. Don't know the last names. In my opinion, you need MORE people like them. As for now, I'm a current SunTrust customer and they can't manage the customer base as is. They thrive on fees robbing their customers daily. They intentionally prolong posting transactions to purposefully create overdraft or potential overdraft situations much like Bank of America does. This is a scam they legally get away with. I entrust SunTrust with my money that I work hard for and I expect access to that money via ATM at any location at any time. It just so happens, I work until early morning hours which is when I do a big portion of my grocery shopping to avoid the crowds. My fiance, who is also on my account and her direct deposit is in this account, stopped at the ATM after work to withdraw money to go do our shopping since SunTrust can't post transactions in a timely manner and it declined her ATM transaction with well more than enough to cover the transaction. After calling SunTrust, they said they can't do anything and recommended doing cash back which costs extra. Therere is no care or concern for the customer.
Absolutely the worst bank, would. Never recommend to anyone at this point. Was supposed to have my check two weeks ago in my account, after one date came and went I went with out my check and now another date promised is can and going still no deposit. My check is from a billon dollar company not a burger shack in the ghetto, so don’t say it’s not legit. Three years as ongoing customer, I’d expect better customer experience than this. Definitely finding a different place to bank with.
I have been doing business with them since I moved to Florida in 2001. I have been very satisfied with them, they are professional and treat their customers like V.I.P.'s, no matter how big or small your savings account is. I would like to take the opportunity to suggest revisiting their ATM machines and offering denominations of $5's and $10 as well. More often than not, I don't need to withdraw $20, just maybe $10 to $15. Thanks for your consideration. The less I have to take out, the more I can keep in my account. I bank with SunTrust in Clermont Florida.

I've had a terrible experience with obtaining a Student loan from Suntrust for my son. After I signed the Loan Approval Disclosure they returned back later with the Final Loan Disclosure and it was dramatically differnt. The total interest paid on the loan went up by over $1300! Nothing changed on the loan term or interest rate. Now they say the school gave them the inforamtion. That's wrong... I checked everything over and it was all correct on the first document I signed and have a copy of. Now they will not change it. They say I have to go back to the school. I say this is a classic Bate and Switch, or in other words FRAUD.... Oh, they also said I could cancel the loan if I wanted to. But, I can't, it's too late and the school wants their money or I will be fined by them... Stay away....FAR away from this back for a Student loan.

If I could give this Bank 0 stars and it would let me post something I absolutely would. This bank takes advantage of the Working Class People. I was charged a $36 negative fee when my account was not negative my account was still positive after the $36 negative feet came out. I called customer service no one did anything I called corporate no one did anything so now I'm taking it upon myself to warn others to keep your eyes on your checking account and deeply consider changing Banks. The $36 negative fee that they charged me cause a ripple effect which made other fees going to overdraft which also caused more $36 negative overdraft fees. Which I would not have been charged any negative fees if the first $36 negative fee would not have came out when indeed my account was not negative. I think that this should be considered stealing they're taking money which is not theirs when it is not right to do so. If my account was really negative and they charged me the $36 negative account fee I absolutely would not mind paying that fee. But because my account was still positive after the first negative $36 fee I am absolutely outraged with this Bank. I would like to be able to attach a screenshot of my online banking but this site will not let you do so witch I'm sure is by design! I have left many Google reviews and posted many online via social media witch I will continue to do to hopefully help people see that SunTrust Bank is not a trustworthy bank. Please everyone keep an eye on your bank accounts!!!
