Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX XXXX stating they were sending me to collections, I had no idea what this was for so In XXXX XXXX I sent a validation letter to XXXX XXXX XXXX Which they had already reported it to the Credit Bureaus and I was not given the opportunity to validate this debt prior to them even placing it on my credit. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter stating they'd enclosed all validation documents. They sent me statements from XXXX of a credit card account that I had with them. ( Ive enclosed these documents ). XX/XX/XXXX - I sent them a failure to validate letter letting them know to cease collections and remove this from my credit considering they never sent me a notice prior to placing it on my credit and there were no statements or signed agreement to this account they reported. I then sent a complaint in and they finally responded to the cfbp 's complaint with the actual checking account that they are reporting. In reviewing these documents, first off the amount that they have stated that I allegedly owe are ALL BANK FEES. Here 's the issue with this, I never signed an OPT-IN form. Secondly, they were charging me a $ 25 monthly service fee just to have an account with them, which this {$25.00} is XXXX initially started the account to go negative. Had they NOT charged me this monthly service fee ( which I dont know why any bank charges {$25.00} a month to have an account ) the account would have never went into the negative. My account balances were indeed low but given the fact that they initially caused the overdraft with their fee, then charged me overdraft fees on items that would have cleared, it kept snowballing with fees. They charged me {$510.00} in monthly service charges, overdraft fees, and extended over draft fees, on items that would have cleared with out their ridiculous fees. I work on an XXXX XXXX and am in the middle of nowhere for XXXX weeks at a time without access to bank accounts. It is obvious after reviewing the bank statements that I at no point OVER SPENT what I had in my account. On top of that, I never asked them, never signed for them to OPT me in to pay into overdraft. The signature card they sent has NOTHING about opting in on it. I refuse to pay any more fees to them and this is absolutely unethical what they have charged me and they need to remove this from my credit reports and cease all collections, I have included all correspondence and highlighted the bank statements to reference how their fees is what caused this and their fees is what is allegedly owed.

Complaint: Aggressive agency continues to call a phone number that is registered to my XXXX XXXX XXXX mother asking for me. I have no idea who these people are the gentlemen that keeps calling is very rude, loud and has attempted to intimidate me and my mother with loud talk and aggressive voice tone, leaving messages after I have told them I don't know who they are I dont owe anyone any money and cease calling and to take my moms number out of your phone they have refused to do so, calling from multiple numbers from various area codes, the recent call was today XX/XX/22, where by this person once again left a message attempting to intimidate a XXXX XXXX XXXX again this is her phone, not mine and I don't owe any money to anyone when asking this person to show proof I owe any money the person attempted to trick me into saying its my debt when in fact it is not. I dont know these people I signed nothing with them or there client whoever that may be and I am being harassed and so is my mother by these people calling a phone that belongs to her top calling trying to collect on debt that doesn't belong to me I checked my credit today these people placed this on my credit report saying its bank of the west I dont have any credit accounts with bank of the west there is no wet signature with said company and otr bank of the west. cease and decease, remove the erroneous reporting and or show proof its my debt I didn't sign anything for credit with bank of the west or this agency

Complaint: 1 ) On XX/XX/2021 i opened a checking account without monthly fees and {$250.00} promotion bonus if {$1000.00} per month of any direct deposit was made for 3 consecutive months. Although i complied with their terms ( i attach the promotion page ) i never received the {$250.00} bonus. Since then i met few people who opened a checking account with Bank of the West during that promotion period and still they waiting for their {$250.00} bonus. This is typical " bait and rip off '' tactic. 2 ) XX/XX/2021 i disputed few unothorized/fraudulent items total amount of {$360.00} and employee that i filed the dispute with over the phone told me that the investigation will take 3 months. After few days XX/XX/2021 i received by mail their completed/Bogus investigation denying my claim ( i attach a copy ).
