Was a decent bank until they closed our branch and took out [-] only ATM. Worst part is they closed all [-] branches within 60 [-] of us. Time for everyone to find [-] banks.

I have been a customer for over 5 years. Starting in 2021 [-] bank starting changing certain policies and assessing more fees with each transaction. This has resulted in less and less customer satisfaction. They use to be a local hometown customer oriented bank. Now they are just fee hungry.

Staff at [-] [-], SC branch always very helpful and courteous. Everyone at this branch works together to serve their customers.

South State merged with Center State

This past Monday, I closed [-] account with South State Bank due to [-] low interest rate, First of all, [-] employee states if I want a CASHIERS CHECK, it [-] cost [-] $20.00. There was no way I was paying $20.00, she then stated then I would have to get [-]. [-] bank did not have enough [-] on hand to give [-]. I was just told by [-] branch manager, that [-] employee COULD HAVE contacted her to waiver our fee. Thje employee DID NOT, so this tells [-] quite a bit about this employee at South State Bank. So [-] I closed [-] account.

[-] [-] NC branch is closed due to [-] employee covid issue. This bank has NO contingency plan for this and that is pathetic. Can't get in [-] safety deposit box until it reopens, and NO ONE KNOWS WHEN.
