Complaint: M & T Bank acquired control of XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I continue to bank with M & T Bank. I had a saving account with M & T Bank for over 16 years. I had a secured credit card with M & T Bank and I completed all payments on-time and paid off the card. On XX/XX/XXXX I applied a secured loan with M & T Bank during the process M & T Bank used deception, fraud, and manipulation to obtain a credit report and then they denied me the loan on XX/XX/XXXX. ( Three days after completing the application ). M & T personal saving account, ending with XXXX with a balance of {$2500.00} as collateral for the loan. I pledged my saving accounts to secure the loan for {$2500.00}. I had the account for 6 months and I only received XXXX ( XXXXXXXX XXXX interest monthly on my {$2500.00} saving account ) On XX/XX/XXXX I applied a secured loan with M & T Bank. M & T Bank representative asked me, What was I using the loan for? I explained them I was using the loan to pay off a bill at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, or otherwise tuition. On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX, M & T Bank started questioning me about the loan. How many years you completed at XXXX XXXX? I told them I have XXXX XXXX and I working on my XXXX certificate at the University. Then M & T Bank said, we do not provide loans on tuition. They suggested I use XXXX XXXX. Then they denied me the loan. WHY ARE THEY QUESTIONING ME ON A SECURE LOAN? The on XX/XX/XXXX, M & T Bank representative suggested I request a debt consolidation Loan instead. She said, I had better chance of getting the loan. Therefore requiring me to complete another loan application. I was denied the loan. She said, there is something wrong on your credit report. My credit score is XXXX and I paid an M T Bank credit card on time. I continue to pay my auto loan, credit cards and other bills regularly. I have worked at the same job for XXXX years ; in addition, I have a second job. I co-own my house with my cousin and I have lived in since XXXX. The mortgage is paid regularly.

Complaint: Dear Sir or Madam, Yesterday, on my 'line of credit ' due, it was {$450.00} -- today it is {$490.00}. I didn't use my line of credit at all. These are the bank fees -- XXXX dollars in a day 's time? What is going on? I am being scammed by M & T Bank, in XXXX, CT. Also, when I signed up for the Line of Credit, I was never told the fees. I knew there would be fees, but to this extent? I live on SSI and this is my bank. They want my money. Help! I don't want this to happen to any other unsuspecting person!! Thank you, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Hello every since Ive had this account it hasnt been nothing but problems and the debit cards I was unable to use they kept declining and the bank hardly did anything every time I turned around I had unauthorized transactions on my account I had bring it out the negative several times in order to use the account I got so bad I had to remove my XXXX check from them because every month I owed them and over draft fees the only reason I went back because my rent rebate was scheduled to go in and I pull the account out the negative again this time theyve blocked the account without warning and shut down my debit leaving me with no access to my funds they owe me hundreds of dollars thanks for your help
